Hawaii Kai is located on the southeastern portion of the Island and has approximately 28,000 people enjoying some of the best of Oahu. Its location allows for multiple water activities from boating in one of the few large inlets on the island to the traditional water sports in the ocean bordering Hawaii Kai. The famous bay, Hanama Bay, is adjacent to the community and allows visitors and residents alike to see some beautiful fish in a relatively safe bay area. in years past these beautiful tropical fish were routinely fed a steady diet of frozen peas from almost all the visitors. These peas were guaranteed to get you up close and personal with he fish but it was not a healthy lifestyle for them and feeding them anything other than the fish food sold at the bay (real fish food) is prohibited. This is a community of more affluent individuals and home prices reflect this. While some homes/condos are available in the $500K range, the predominant pricing would probably average in the $700,000 range.
