Kapolei is certainly one of the newer neighborhoods on the Island and was very sought after during its initial development. With the massive building effort on the Ewa Plain in the late 90's to 2007 Kapolei had to compete with many other new developments and while it is still a desirable neighborhood it tends to be similar to all the new developments on the plain. Properties generally start in the high $300's and while some can climb into the $700's the average would probably be around $500,000. Numerous shopping plazas have been built to support the area and it is a favorite of people working int he Ewa Plain.
